ABOUT TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION INSTITUTE
The Technology Innovation Institute (TII) is our applied research pillar and a leading global research institute that comprises 10 dedicated research centers, each focused on one priority advanced technology domain.
These include Advanced Materials, AI and Digital Science, Autonomous Robotics, Biotechnology, Cryptography, Directed Energy, Propulsion and Space, Quantum, Renewable and Sustainable Energy, and Secure Systems.
TII is home to a diverse intellectual community of multi-disciplinary scientists, engineers, and mathematicians.
RESEARCH CENTERS
We invest significantly in the development of our exceptional research facilities and centers. We access substantial funding in order to ensure that our team has the best advanced technology work environment.
We are an AI and Digital Science Research and Development Center that is pioneering new ways to make real-world systems more secure, while reducing the need for human expertise. The AI and Digital Science Research center advances automated program analysis and repairs system weaknesses at speed, scale and with precision.
The Biotechnology Research Center (BRC) was established to contribute to national research priorities across several emerging fields in Biotech.
The Directed Energy Research Center at the Technology Innovation Institute is an international center of excellence for research into advanced directed energy systems and technologies. Through ground-breaking advances, we are protecting the world around us in areas as diverse as medicine and infrastructure protection.
Quantum Research Center (QRC) is a new international center of excellence for research into quantum technologies. Led by a globally recognised expert in the field, Professor Jose Ignacio Latorre, we are dedicated to building the first quantum computer in the region.
At the Secure Systems Research Center (SSRC), we are building a global center of excellence in the development of end-to-end security and resilience for cyber-physical and autonomous systems.
The Advanced Materials Research Center (AMRC) is an emerging center of global excellence in materials science in the Middle East and North Africa. We attract leading innovators and pioneers regionally and globally.
The Autonomous Robotics Research Center (ARRC) at the Technology Innovation Institute is the region’s leading organization advancing robotics, computer vision, and bio-inspired technologies.
The Cryptography Research Center (CRC) is the leading center of its kind in the GCC region and one of only a few globally that brings together theoretical and applied cryptographers.
The Propulsion and Space Research Center (PSRC) was established to contribute to National research and educational advancement in the area of Propulsion and Beyond Earth Exploration.
Pushing technological boundaries in energy storage, analysis and solutions, the RSERC at TII offers unique opportunities for world-class research and scientific discovery.
